After updating iOS version to 15+

I see a transparent overlay message on the screen “Automation Running Hold both volume buttons to stop”

Automation Overlay

This update is from apple like previous iOS 14 update (Orange and Green indicators in your iPhone status bar) and in iOS 15+ grey overlay indicates to user that iPhone device is Running on Automation

This overlay is not appearing in Simulators

I figured out that it’s just a overlay and doesn’t effect the automation script while running automation scripts. If you not able to see this overlay increase the brightness of screen, and this overlay has no specific position

If you Hold both volume buttons to stop, then you have to re-install WebDriverAgentRunner from WebDriverAgent Project which is located at /Applications/Appium Server GUI.app/Contents/Resources/app/node_modules/appium/node_modules/appium-xcuitest-driver/WebDriverAgent/

OR

if you unplug the device this overlay will disappear but iPhone Device will keep remains in Automation State and you don’t have to re-install WebDriverAgentRunner
